Goldtouch products are the definition of ergonomic designs. Our flagship product, the Goldtouch keyboard, was created by a small team comprised of leading ergonomists, engineers and physicians who brought comfort and adjustability to the forefront of their design. The idea was a keyboard that puts your hands, wrists, arms, elbows, shoulders and back in a neutral position, increasing your comfort and reducing the risk of injury from harmful and uncomfortable postures.
Our team was particularly congnizant of the fact that people come in a variety of shapes and sizes and our keyboard needed to individually adapt to each user to ensure their best fit. The result was our patented ball and lever lock design that allows for a full range of adjustability in both the horizontal and vertical plane. We knew that the level of comfort we were looking for, could not be reached in a one size fits all approch.
Along with our adjustability, we wanted to develop a keyboard that feels good. Our team looked at an average keyboard and realized that a typist exerts approximately 40 tons of force each week, due to key pressure while typing. That is 30-40% more, than what’s really necessary to get the job done.
The Goldtouch keyboard features a 30% reduction in key pressure, saving you from exerting 12 tons of undo force each week. The response to our keyboard was overwhellming, thus our product line expanded. The care and research that we put into our first keyboard, has set the standard for the development of our mice, stands, gels and platforms. We took the time to research a variety of computer users to find out exactly what they were looking for, where issues stemmed from, and developed products that increase comfort and reduce/eliminate the risk of injury.
