Goldtouch USB Bluetooth Adapter (Dongle)
You may be asking yourself, what’s a Dongle? Well the purpose of a Dongle is for users who don’t have integrated Bluetooth in their computers. The best way to check if you have integrated Bluetooth is to go to the Control Panel and then Device Manager. If your computer has integrated Bluetooth, you will see an “OEM Bluetooth Radio” i.e Intel, Broadcom, etc. and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator. (When your system has a Bluetooth Dongle connected, you will see Generic Bluetooth Driver and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator).
For users who purchase any Bluetooth wireless devices, (i.e our Bluetooth wireless devices include the Go!2 Bluetooth Wireless Mobile Keyboard (GTP-0044W), the Bluetooth Comfort Mouse (GTM-B), and the Wireless Mini Keyboard (GTA-0033)), the user will need to buy a Dongle if their computer does not have integrated Bluetooth. A typical Bluetooth Dongle can support anywhere from 5-7 devices, as it is a “one-to-many” device. (This is in contrast to 2.4 GHz receivers, which are “one-to-one” devices, meaning they only support one device). Do not use a Bluetooth Dongle if your system already has integrated Bluetooth, Windows will only support a single radio host.
Specs and Usage
The Goldtouch Dongle is a Broadcom 2.0 adapter and uses the native Windows drivers – there is no need for any 3rd party drivers. This Dongle does not require any installs or updates, and the native Windows Bluetooth driver hardware it uses is so stable it hasn’t changed since 2006!
When using a Dongle, plug it directly into your computer. Do not plug it into any other device or a docking station/hub, as we cannot guarantee it will be effective and could interfere with other devices.
The USB Dongle is so small you won’t even know it’s there. You can leave it right in the USB port even when traveling with a laptop.
Purchase your USB Bluetooth Dongle today and experience the tangle-freejoy of wireless living.
