What is the best ergonomic keyboard? We get the question a lot so we have an answer prepared.
The decision is ultimately dependent on what the users preferences are. All Goldtouch keyboards are made with the user in mind and are top quality products. They all adjust from 0-30 degrees on both the vertical and horizontal planes to help reduce and prevent ulnar deviation and pronation. Goldtouch keyboards are the only self-contained keyboards on the market, which means users are able to fully adjust their keyboards without purchasing any extra pieces.
Some keyboards on the market claim to be ergonomic, but are just one solid piece that doesn’t move and adjust to fit the user – the keyboard caters to a select few people who fit to their particular model. Other models split apart in the middle, but then require extra pieces in order to allow the keyboard to tilt. We then have to ask, “why not just buy one keyboard that adjusts to fit you without requiring any extra pieces.”
That’s what a Goldtouch keyboard is designed for – complete ergonomic comfort. There are many reasons to switch to the best ergonomic keyboards on the market, such as: increased productivity and quality of work, decreased pain and Repetitive Strain Injuries, decreased costs, and more! Find out below what your best ergonomic keyboard match is:
The V2 Keyboard is the second generation of the premier Goldtouch Keyboard. It comes in two different versions – the GTN-0099 is for PC only, whereas the GTU-0088 is for both PC and Mac.
This keyboard adjusts via a patented ball and lever-locking mechanism that is activated by pulling the handle on the top left of the keyboard. It splits and tilts from 0-30 degrees on the horizontal and vertical planes to achieve a more natural and comfortable position. It features high quality rubber-domed keys, which allow for a soft key touch, low activation force*, and reduces the risk of “bottoming out” when typing. Bottoming out simply means pressing the key down all the way so that it touches the membrane of the keyboard, which puts more pressure on the finger joints.
*The average keyboard’s key resistance is about 80 grams, which is the key pressure or activation force a user exerts to press down on a key; however, the Goldtouch V2 Keyboard’s key resistance is between 36g-42g.
The V2 Keyboard is only available in Wired versions and the cord reaches 5 feet 11 inches (1.8m). This keyboard has a width of 16.25 inches (41.275 cm) and depth (front-to-back) of 6.75 inches (17.145 cm). So when comparing this keyboard to the Go!2 keyboard, it is slightly larger.
Here’s what users say:
“Love the Goldtouch keyboard, really helps my RSI….”
“The keyboard is easy to set up and adjust.”
“I use this at work and this keyboard is amazing. The positioning of the keys are all really well done.”
The Go!2 Mobile Keyboard is great for on-the-go users or for traditional office users. It has full adjustability from 0-30 degrees on the horizontal and vertical planes. This keyboard features full-sized scissor switch keys that are silent, fast, and responsive. Scissor switch keys have the plunger attached to a scissor-like mechanism, rather than directly to the membrane, this means you won’t have to press very hard or push very far to have the keyboard register a keystroke. For this reason, scissor switch keys are very quiet, and they tend to be good for ergonomic comfort.
The Go!2 Mobile Keyboard is great for travel because it is light, slim, and easy to fold. It only weighs 1 pound, so it won’t weigh down your bag.
This keyboard is compatible with both PC and Mac and comes in both Wired and Bluetooth Wireless versions. It has a width of 13.5 inches (34.29 cm) and a depth (front-to-back) of 6 inches (15.24 cm). For more specs, check out our shop page (LINK).
